How do I search for a vacation rental?

Use the search bar on our homepage. Enter your check-in date, check-out date, and number of guests, then click Check Availability. We'll show you all properties that match your dates and group size.

What does "Contact Us" mean on a property card?

Some properties are not available for instant online booking and require a reservation through our team. Click Contact Us and fill out our short trip planning form. We'll follow up within a few hours to confirm availability and arrange your reservation.

What happens after I submit a trip planning request?

Our reservations team reviews every inquiry personally and will contact you by phone or email (whichever you prefer) within a few hours during business hours. We'll confirm availability, answer your questions, and walk you through next steps.

Do you only list vacation rentals?

No. Nantucket Accommodations has been helping guests find all types of lodging since 1972 -- vacation rentals, hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses. If the island looks full, we'll work the phones until we find you a place to stay.

Can you help with ferry reservations?

Yes. We can arrange passenger tickets aboard the Steamship Authority's Iyanough. We cannot book vehicle reservations. Ask our team when you contact us about lodging.

What is your cancellation policy?

All reservations are non-refundable unless the accommodation is re-rented for your period at the same rate, in which case all payments are refunded less a 15% cancellation fee. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.

What type of insurance do you offer?

We offer Vacation Rental Damage Protection as well as Trip Protection insurance through Generali, which may cover cancellations due to illness, weather, and other qualifying events. Ask our team for details. This can be purchased at the time of booking or anytime prior to checking in. Payments made before purchasing insurance are not covered.

What is your pet policy?

Most properties do not permit pets. If a property allows pets, it will be noted in the property description. Please do not bring a pet to a no-pet property -- violations result in forfeiture of all deposits and payments.

Do you have a Lost and Found?

No. If you've left something behind on your visit, let us know and we will contact the housekeepers for your vacation rental.

Is there air conditioning and heat?

All of our accommodations have heat. Some homes have gas fireplaces and/or central air-conditioning or window air-conditioning units (air-conditioned bedrooms). Please check the home features on each listing for specifics. If you have requirements related to heat or air conditioning, please inform your reservationist.

How many people are allowed to stay in each home?

By state law, occupancy may not exceed what is posted for each home. Maximum occupancy includes infants and children.

What will we be responsible for when we check out?

Every reservation includes a certain number of hours towards your departure clean (house specific). You can help ensure housekeeping stays within those hours by emptying the refrigerator, taking out the trash, starting the dishwasher, and if possible starting a load of towels in the washing machine. You will receive departure instructions and detailed recycling instructions in your welcome letter. Recycling is mandatory on Nantucket and failure to follow instructions properly may result in fines charged to your credit card. Please contact us with any specific questions.
